FAQS

What is CICABLOC® and what are the sizes of the CICABLOC® and the middle attachments?
1_1 CICABLOC® is the first folding formwork block that weighs only 2.5 kg. This product is modular, lightweight, ecological and economical. What's more, CICABLOC® effectively helps prevent musculoskeletal injury (that account for 80% of recognized occupational diseases in France.) Made from recycled synthetic material, this product respects the environment while demonstrating the same characteristics as a reinforced concrete wall. CICABLOC® displays excellent mechanical properties and can stand up to all kinds of weather. It's durable and rot-resistant. Comprised of two sides joined by folding hinges, CICABLOC® is 80% lighter than regular formwork blocks, consumes 3 times less storage space.

What is the raw material used ?
Here are the possible raw material that can be used for the CICABLOC® - PVC - ABS - PEHD - Compound polywood type : natural fibers + PP
What is the impact on lock of CICABLOC® is the pressure is applied on its wall?, What is the maximum impact or force CICABLOC® can withstand.
With a regular concrete filled from 2.5m heigh, the applied internal pressure on the Cicabloc® skin is 67500 Pa
  • The Cicabloc panels are submitted to a pressure of 67500 Pa (that is 8110N per panel)
  • The hinges are submitted to a traction force of 2700 N (8 110 N for the 3 hinges)
4_14_2

The external CICABLOC® panel can resist to an impact of 11Joules : ( this is equivalent of an impact made by a 700g ball that falls from 1m80 high)

A filled CICABLOC® can bear a higher choc impact , but the values depends on the material used for filling

What is the material to be used in the first two rows of the CICABLOC®.
There are different possibilities:
  • Earth concrete with 4 to 6 % of lime
  • Pebbles with 4 to 6% of lime
  • Regular concrete
Can we colour the CICABLOC®, if yes than what type of paint is to be used ?
The CICABLOC® can be painted , but the type of paint depends on the raw material used to manufacture the blocks.
What is the weather durability of CICABLOC®, Since India is hot country, what is the impact of heat on CICABLOC® and what will be the inner temperature of the house of CICABLOC® if the ouside temperature is 47 degree ?
The CICABLOC® can resisit to outside temperatures from -40°C to + 90°C

We have the example of a CICABLOC® construction ,30 cm width filled with earth: Outside temperature was 40°C , and internal temperature was 28° C
Do you have toxicity certificate?, for example, in the extreme heat the PVC used to generate a pungent smell and this can be smelled in the house so is CICABLOC® free from this smell?
The toxicity certificate are the ones of the material used. In the case of a polywood material ( PP + wood fiber), in normal conditions of transformation ; there is no toxicity problem ( see attached security sheet )

Can we hang air condition on the wall of CICABLOC®?, what is the maxium weight the wall of CICABLOC® can carry?.
Yes, there is no problem to fix anything on a CICABLOC® wall. Indeed, the earth construction with 4 to 6% of lime is equivalent to concrete .
Can you please provide us the picture of houses made from CICABLOC®?
Here is an example:

What are the countries presently using CICABLOC®?
CAMEROUN / MAROCO / FRANCE / CORSE / ITALIA
How can we do the electrification and plumbing in CICABLOC® house?
2 possible techniques: - In sheath , in between CICABLOC®s , just before filling the wall - Along the internal wall, in a visible sheath.
What is the warranty from termite?
We have the example of CICABLOC®s made of polywood ( PP + wood) in Senegal. There was no damage because of termites.
What is the HS code of CICABLOC® ?
The HS Code is 3925.90.80.00 .
